STRONG RECOVERY EFFORT FOR SHELDON VAN DER LINDE AND TEAM WRT AT THE FIA GT WORLD CUP

Macau delivered its traditional blend of intensity and unpredictability. After an unfortunate qualifying session in which slight contact with the barrier prevented Sheldon from setting a timed lap, the #31 BMW M4 GT3 EVO was forced to start the weekend from the very back. In Saturday’s qualifying race, a strong start saw him climb several positions on the ultra-tight Guia Circuit. However, later involvement in
an incident limited him to a 12th-place starting position for the main race. On Sunday, over 16 intense laps where every error counted, Sheldon delivered an impressive recovery drive, climbing several positions with nice overtakes amid the chaos. In the end, he and his purple Shellliveried #31 BMW M4 GT3 EVO crossed the finish line in sixth place. This event marked the final chequered flag of the 2025 season. Team WRT now shifts its focus to the upcoming winter programme in the Asian Le Mans Series, kicking off on December 13–14 in Sepang, Malaysia.
