OUR VISION

At WRT, we believe that motorsport can inspire, unite, and create meaningful change beyond the track. Our social commitment reflects the values that shape us: solidarity, inclusion, and genuine care for the people and communities around us.

We proudly support young talent, local organisations, and impactful causes, using our platform to make a positive difference wherever we can.

Fondation Arthritis

At WRT, sustainability also means caring for people and communities. During the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the team proudly raised €12,500 for the Arthritis Foundation to support research on juvenile idiopathic arthritis, a chronic disease affecting children under 16. Beyond the fundraising, WRT created unforgettable memories for young patients and their families, offering them a unique VIP experience at the heart of the race.

This initiative not only contributes to advancing medical research but also reflects WRT's commitment to bringing hope, solidarity, and inspiration to those who need it most. By combining passion for motorsport with social responsibility, WRT continues to drive positive change both on and off the track.

Augusto Papai Noel

Every winter, our friend and BMW M Motorsport driver Augusto Farfus brings joy to children in Brazil by transforming into Santa Claus. In 2024, as part of our We aRe uniTed initiative, we supported his mission by helping provide gifts, food, and school supplies to 97 families and a local school for foster children.

Local school visit

As part of our social initiatives, WRT welcomed students from the nearby Julie & Melissa School for a discovery visit to our Bierset headquarters. Following a teacher’s request, the visit introduced 8- and 9-year-old children to the world of motorsport and the work that takes place behind the scenes. It was a valuable opportunity to spark curiosity and inspire future generations.

A helmet for Gabin

WRT had the pleasure of welcoming 9-year-old Gabin Léger and his family to Le Mans. Diagnosed with Legg-Calvé-Perthes disease at the age of six, Gabin discovered strength and passion through karting. During his visit, he received his first custom-painted helmet, created live by artist Piroeh One with the support of Bell Racing Helmets, creating a memorable and inspiring moment for this young motorsport enthusiast.

Spa run

At WRT, sustainability also means investing in people and creating moments of togetherness. During the Spa Run, team members, families, and friends swapped racing cars for running shoes and took on laps around the legendary Spa-Francorchamps circuit. Whether running or walking, everyone shared the joy of sports, teamwork, and a healthier lifestyle.

This initiative reflects our commitment to well-being and team spirit, reminding us that performance goes hand in hand with balance and community.

FIA girls on track

At WRT, we proudly support the FIA Girls on Track initiative, opening the doors of motorsport to inspire and empower young women. During our open days, participants were welcomed into our garages, discovered life behind the scenes with guided box tours, and took part in mentoring sessions with our team members.

This program is much more than a visit. It is an opportunity to experience motorsport from the inside, ask questions, and build confidence for future careers both on and off the track. By encouraging diversity and inclusion, WRT aims to break down barriers and prove that passion, talent and ambition matter more than gender.

WEERTS PERSONAL COMPUTERS

In Belgium, 1 in 6 children lives in poverty, impacting their education and access to technology. The digital divide has widened, especially with the rise of online learning. To address this, WPC, a non-profit initiative by Weerts Group and WRT, provides functional laptops to children from vulnerable families, focusing on those aged 10 to 14. Since 2021, WPC has donated 2200 personal laptops. Proximus supports the initiative by ensuring mobile connectivity where needed. Weerts Group remains committed to digital inclusion and broader social responsibility projects.

Brazilian communities

WRT, together with our drivers Augusto Farfus and Timur Boguslavskiy, raised €15,000 to support charities and community initiatives across Brazil. The #31 BMW M4 GT3 proudly carried the Brazilian colors, symbolizing our We aRe uniTed commitment to using motorsport as a force for positive impact.

This initiative also builds on the success of our 'Papai Noel' project, where Augusto Farfus helped provide educational materials, essential supplies, and meaningful gifts to families in need.
