DRIVE FAST, ACT FASTER

Since 2021, WRT has proudly supported Drive Fast, Act Faster, an initiative led by Ferdinand Habsburg and Green Future Project to make motorsport a driver of positive environmental change.

Until 2025, our offsets contributed to the protection of more than 76 hectares of Ecuadorian rainforest within the Narupa Reserve.

In 2026, WRT renewed its collaboration with Green Future Project and transitioned to the Selva de Urundel + project in Argentina, adding 2,164 tonnes of CO2 offset this year. The project protects 47,000 hectares of native Yungas Forest while supporting biodiversity conservation and local communities.

With this renewal, WRT’s total compensated emissions now reach 10,577 tonnes of CO2.

This ongoing commitment reflects WRT’s ambition to combine racing excellence with measurable, long-term environmental impact.

ECOCUPS

To further reduce our environmental footprint, WRT has eliminated single-use plastic cups and cans from its hospitality area. We invested in 3,000 reusable Eco Cups, ensuring a more sustainable experience for our guests while significantly cutting down waste.

SUSTAINABLE AVIATION FUEL

Instead of using the complimentary flights offered to the team, WRT decided to invest directly in Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) with Lufthansa. This conscious choice demonstrates our commitment to actively reducing the carbon footprint of our international travels. By supporting SAF, WRT contributes to the aviation industry’s transition towards cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.

AUTOMATIC LIGHTS IN OFFICES

In our new Bierset View offices and workshop, we installed automatic lighting systems to avoid wasting energy. Lights only turn on when needed, helping reduce unnecessary consumption while making our workplace more sustainable every day.

NEW BINS IN OFFICES

In our offices, individual desk bins have been removed to encourage better waste habits. Instead, clearly identified recycling stations are placed in strategic areas to ensure proper sorting across the building.

SOLAR PANELS TO COME

At our new Bierset View headquarters, we are getting ready to welcome solar panels on our roof. By producing our own green energy, we will be able to power part of our daily activities with the sun, reducing both our footprint and our reliance on non-renewable sources. It’s a simple but meaningful step, bringing us closer to a more sustainable way of working.

STORAGE OF 60,000 L of rainwater to reduce waste.

Sustainability at WRT also means making smart use of natural resources. At our WRT headquarters, we capture and store up to 60,000 m3 of rainwater, which is then reused for our toilets and for washing our race cars. This simple yet impactful solution helps us cut waste and take another step toward greener operations.

OVER 95% OF OUR WASTE IS RECYCLED

At WRT, we take pride in giving a second life to almost everything we use. Thanks to our collaboration with RENEWI, more than 95% of our waste is collected, sorted and recycled. Beyond traditional recycling, we also transform parts from our old race cars such as carbon components into unique goodies for our fans. This way, materials that once raced on track continue to live on in a sustainable and creative way.
