Yifei Ye
Born on June 16, 2000, in Xi’an, China, Yifei Ye is a Chinese racing driver who has rapidly ascended the ranks of international motorsport. He began his career in karting at the age of 10 and made a significant impact in single-seater racing. In 2016, Ye won the French F4 Championship, becoming the first Chinese driver to secure a Formula 4 title in Europe. He continued to impress in the Euroformula Open Championship, clinching the title in 2020.
Transitioning to endurance racing in 2021, Yifei Ye joined Team WRT in the European Le Mans Series, where he captured the championship title in his debut season. That same year, he nearly triumphed in his first 24 Hours of Le Mans with WRT in the LMP2 category, leading the race on the final lap before an electrical failure ended the team’s hopes of victory. Despite the setback, he achieved an impressive 315 overtakes, the highest in the LMP2 field.
