Sheldon van der Linde
Born on May 13, 1999, in South Africa, Sheldon van der Linde is a BMW M Works driver and one of the standout young talents in international motorsport. He rejoined Team WRT in 2023, coinciding with the team’s new partnership with BMW, and quickly became a key figure in its prototype program.
Known for his speed, precision, and composure under pressure, Sheldon competes in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) in the LMDh category, driving the BMW M Hybrid V8. Before his Hypercar journey, he raced in GT3 with the Belgian squad in the Intercontinental GT Challenge, GT World Challenge, and at the FIA GT World Cup in Macau.
In 2025, he celebrated victory at the Bathurst 12 Hour alongside his brother Kelvin and Augusto Farfus. Sheldon had previously raced with WRT in 2018, competing in the IGTC and GTWC with Audi, showcasing his versatility across manufacturers and disciplines.
