Sean Gelael
Born on November 1, 1996, in Jakarta, Indonesia, Sean Gelael is an accomplished Indonesian racing driver who began his motorsport journey in karting. He claimed the Asian Karting Open Championship title in 2011 before advancing through the single-seater ranks, competing in European Formula 3, Formula Renault 3.5, and Formula 2.
Gelael made his transition to endurance racing in 2016, debuting in both the Asian Le Mans Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC). From 2021 to 2023, he competed with Team WRT in the LMP2 class, securing multiple podiums including second place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2021, as well as victories at the 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps and the 6 Hours of Fuji.
In 2024, Gelael stepped up to the LMGT3 category in WEC, driving the BMW M4 GT3 for Team WRT alongside Darren Leung and Augusto Farfus. His standout result of the season was an impressive second-place finish at the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
