Born on August 8, 1979, in Hillsborough, Northern Ireland, Richard Lyons is a professional racing driver with a successful career spanning single-seaters, touring cars, and GT racing. He has competed internationally in series such as Super GT, A1GP, and endurance GT competitions.

In 2017, Lyons raced with Belgian Audi Club Team WRT in the Blancpain GT Series Endurance Cup, driving the #3 Audi R8 LMS alongside Josh Caygill and Niki Mayr-Melnhof in the Pro/Am category.
