Born on June 13, 1980, in Stuttgart, Germany, Markus Winkelhock is a German racing driver who started competing with Team WRT in 2014 with the Audi R8 LMS GT3.

A long-time Audi factory driver, Markus joined forces with Team WRT in multiple endurance and sprint events, contributing to the team’s early success in the Blancpain GT Series. His experience and consistency were invaluable to WRT’s GT3 campaigns, where he shared the car with teammates such as Laurens Vanthoor, René Rast, and Christopher Mies.
