Marc Basseng
Born on December 12, 1978, in Engelskirchen, Germany, Marc Basseng is a German racing driver. He began his career in karting before moving into touring cars and GT competitions, including the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany and the Renault Clio series.
Basseng achieved major success in 2012, winning both the FIA GT1 World Championship and the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. Throughout his career, he has secured numerous victories in the VLN Nürburgring Endurance Series.
With WRT, Basseng raced the Audi R8 LMS Ultra in the Blancpain Endurance Series, earning podium finishes such as a third place at Silverstone in 2014 alongside Laurens Vanthoor and César Ramos.
