About
Louis Delétraz
Born on April 22, 1997, in Geneva, Switzerland, Louis Delétraz is a Swiss professional racing driver celebrated for his precision, speed, and strategic approach. The son of former Formula 1 driver Jean-Denis Delétraz, he began his motorsport career in karting before progressing through Formula Renault and Formula 2, where he became a race winner and consistent front-runner.
In 2021, Delétraz made a remarkable transition to endurance racing, joining Team WRT in the LMP2 category. Together with Robert Kubica and Yifei Ye, he dominated the European Le Mans Series (ELMS), winning the championship title with multiple victories. That same year, he nearly triumphed in his first 24 Hours of Le Mans, leading the race on the final lap before an electrical failure tragically ended the team’s hopes of victory, just minutes from the finish.
Delétraz continued with Team WRT, and in 2023, alongside Robert Kubica, he captured the FIA WEC LMP2 Trophy, underlining his consistency and speed across the season.
