Kurt Mollekens
Born on March 8, 1973, in Bonheiden, Belgium, Kurt Mollekens is a Belgian former racing driver and team manager who has been associated with Team WRT since 2010. He competed in the FIA GT3 European Championship for WRT, driving an Audi R8 LMS in 2010. Mollekens also raced in WRT’s first-ever participation at the 24 Hours of Spa in 2010, marking the beginning of the team’s endurance racing history. He also shared an Audi R8 with team owner Yves Weerts in some European GT3 events in 2011.
In addition to his driving career, he has been instrumental in the development of WRT's GT program, contributing to the team's success in various endurance racing events. He is now Program Manager and Sporting Director for the GT department. Indeed, Kurt has a lot of experience both as a driver and as a team owner and manager as he previously ran his own team, KTR.
