Born on June 31, 1987, in Lyon, France, Jean-Karl Vernay is a highly accomplished French racing driver who has been a key competitor for Team WRT in both GT and Touring Car racing.

In 2016, WRT made their Touring Car debut, fielding a pair of Volkswagen Golfs in the TCR International Series under the Leopard Racing banner. Vernay, alongside Stefano Comini, quickly adapted to the series, delivering strong performances that established WRT as a serious contender. He continued racing with the team in WTCR from 2018, consistently demonstrating his speed, consistency, and racecraft.

Vernay also claimed significant titles with WRT, becoming TCR Benelux Series Drivers’ Champion and helping secure the TCR Benelux Series Teams’ Championship for Leopard Lukoil Team. His achievements in Touring Cars have cemented his reputation as one of WRT’s most successful and versatile drivers.
