Between 2012 and 2015, Sandström competed with Team WRT in various endurance racing series, including the Blancpain Endurance Series and the FIA GT Series. He drove in the Pro category, partnering with notable drivers such as Frank Stippler, Marcel Fässler, and Mattias Ekström.
In 2015, Sandström achieved a significant milestone by winning the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. He driving the Audi R8 LMS #28 alongside Christopher Mies, Nico Müller, and Laurens Vanthoor.
