Dries Vanthoor
Born on April 20, 1996, in Belgium, Dries Vanthoor is a highly experienced and official BMW M Works driver who has been racing with Team WRT for several years. He will celebrate his 10th anniversary with the team in 2026.
Since joining WRT, Dries has delivered multiple pole positions and podium finishes in prestigious events such as the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 6 Hours of Spa and more, helping WRT consistently challenge at the front of the GT3 field.
In 2025, Dries expanded his role within WRT by joining the team’s entry in the new LMDh (Le Mans Daytona hybrid) category, driving the BMW M Hybrid V8 prototype. This step marked his progression into top-level prototype racing, showcasing his versatility and adaptability across different classes. He claimed pole position in the 2024 Le Mans 24 Hours qualifying and showed impressive pace, frequently setting some of the fastest laps throughout the season.
His combined experience in GT and prototype racing makes Dries a central figure in WRT’s pursuit of success across multiple categories.
