About
Allan Simonsen
Born on July 5, 1978, in Odense, Denmark, Allan Simonsen was a highly respected endurance and GT racing driver known for his competitiveness and versatility on international circuits.
His association with W Racing Team (WRT) came in 2012, when he raced for the team in an Audi R8 LMS at the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. In that event, WRT fielded an Audi-customer entry, and Simonsen teamed with Oliver Jarvis, Andrea Piccini and Edward Sandström driving for the Audi Sport customer program via WRT.
Tragically, Simonsen lost his life during the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2013 while driving for another team. His legacy lives on as a talented and courageous driver whose name is still remembered across motorsport.
